8th January 2021 - PCSE sent this update, including:

  • How to move online if you haven’t already done so
  • An invitation to book your place on PCSE’s webinars about moving online 
  • Information on the upcoming changes to paper GOS forms. (Old paper forms can’t be used after 31st Jan 2021)


18th December 2020 - PCSE has announced that their onboarding process for online GOS claims has reopened. Any contractors who have not yet started to submit GOS claims online should read more here and take action. Click here for more information on moving to online GOS submissions and the changes to paper GOS forms.


PCSE have created a suite of resources to support you, including a Welcome Pack and various short videos.


November 2020 - Read the latest PCSE ophthalmic bulletin for details of:

  • CET Claims – last chance to submit your claim
  • Covid-19 ways of working – average monthly payments, patient signatures and submitting GOS forms regularly
  • Online GOS claims users – the latest hints and tips to help you when using the portal

October 2020 - PCSE has now agreed with NHSEI to move the launch date for new-style paper GOS forms to 1 February 2021. All contractors will have received a contingency pack of new forms in the post; please keep these safe but continue to use current paper forms until 31 January 2021.


They have also paused the rollout of the online GOS claims service to new usersThose who are yet to move to the new system will be required to wait until new rollouts resume later this year.

On 20th July 2020 a letter from NHS England outlined the move to online claims, and changes to GOS claims effective from 1st October 2020. Following this letter:


  • A number of Getting started with PCSE Online webinars were run during August and September 2020. Recordings of the webinars are available through the PCSE YouTube channel. Please subscribe to the channel to be notified when further recordings are published. The YouTube channel also has a Katrina Explains… playlist with demos of the system to show you how to get started, how to make successful claims, and how to navigate through some of the less intuitive scenarios. The videos are short (approx. 3mins – 8mins) and are definitely worth watching.


PCSE online was launched nationally in October 2019. This link also includes information for those practices who are still using paper forms.
