CET Grant Claims
Grant claims for CET undertaken in 2019 may be submitted from 1st August 2020 to 30th November 2020. FAQs about the process are available here.
This year (2020) it will be mandatory for all claims to be submitted via PCSE Online, and both performers and contractors will need to be registered before submitting a claim. There's information about how to register here. Note that locums may ask the PCSE user administrator at any practice to generate a performer account for them. If your contract holder has not assigned a user administrator, please ask them contact PCSE on 0333 014 2884 to set this up.
To be eligible to claim the CET allowance in the relevant period you must have:
- been on the relevant ophthalmic list for at least six months
- undertaken GOC-approved CET
- performed primary ophthalmic services under a GOS contract
If you’re approaching a contractor you have not worked for, you can reassure them of your eligibility by providing evidence of your CET activity, plus a written statement from an employer showing you’ve undertaken GOS sight tests.

Any questions around CET grant claims should be submitted on PCSE's online enquiry form, which will be available here once the claiming window is open.
