On 6th July 2020 the Milton Keynes Covid-19 Urgent Eyecare Service (CUES) was launched for patients registered with a Milton Keynes CCG GP practice.
This service ensures that people can access urgent eyecare within primary care during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. The service will provide initial contact, telephone triage, remote consultations and, where necessary, face-to-face assessments and management of recent onset symptomatic or urgent ocular presentations.
For more information about the pathway for urgent & emergency cases in MK, see our urgent & emergency services section.
A poster explaining the service is available to download from this page.
Search here to find participating practices, or download the latest list of practices from this page.
If your practice would like to deliver this service, please complete this form and the PES team will contact you.
Optometrists do not require any accreditation to provide CUES. CLOs who have undergone MECS accreditation, and who are working with a MECS-accredited optometrist, may also participate.

There is also an online chat function from the home page (the blue chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner), which can be used to seek help during registration or ongoing for service delivery. You can also email support on firstname.lastname@example.org
Opera introduction webinars took place on 11th November and 25th November 2020, and a video of the 25th November webinar is available here.
