Insert LOC name

Insert name Local Optometric Committe is the organisation representing Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians in insert area.

The LOC is the statutory NHS body which represents the providers and performers of General Ophthalmic Services (GOS), as well as other local optometric services, in the area.

Our function is to liaise with NHS England, local area teams and Clinical Commissioning Groups and Sustainable Transformation Parternships (STP) on matters relating to eye care.

We also organise CET events and peer discussion events for optical professionals.

Insert name LOC has close relationships with local public health organsations and the local medical committee with whom we work on new initiatives.

We are also associated with other LOC’s and form part of the Regional Optical Committee (ROC).

Meetings take place around five times a year. All optical professionals are welcome to attend.
