IOP Pathway 1c Accreditation Event

Dear Sutton LOC Members,

Please see the attached invitation letter to the forthcoming IOP Pathway 1c Accreditation event. Please note that this event is only applicable to contractors and performers in Sutton, not Merton and Wandsworth.

Dear Practitioner,

I would like to inform you that the Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has approved the extension of Intra-ocular pressure (IOP) refinement scheme to the Sutton area. The scheme will now offer an IOP refinement reading with applanation tonometer for patients with IOP>21mmHg that were initially seen in practices that are not part of the current IOP scheme.

In order for your practice to learn more and partake in this, the Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth LOC would like to invite you to an accreditation event on the 25.05.2016 at 18.30 at Wallington Opticians, 116 Woodcote Road, Wallington SM6 0LY.

During this event I would like to explain the scheme to you, the protocol that one should follow and the fees and to give the opportunity to practitioners who are not confident with applanation tonometry to have the chance to practice.

Practices can only take part in the scheme if they have attended the accreditation event.

It would be much appreciated if all the optometrists and the contractor/contractors representatives from each practice would kindly attend the event

I would also appreciate it very much if you could let me know by the 22.05.2016 the number of people from your practice who wish to attend. This will help the LOC to prepare the correct refreshments for the event. You may wish to contact me by email: [email protected]
