Vision Care for Homeless People

A Leeds branch of Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP Leeds) was launched in July 2017.

The charity provides eyecare services to homeless and other vulnerable people in an accessible and friendly environment in which they feel safe, welcome and comfortable.

The Leeds branch will provide services from St George's Crypt in Leeds, and is looking for volunteers - optometrists, dispensing opticians, optical assistants and receptionists - who can offer some time on a regular or occasional basis.

For more information contact Steve Clark ([email protected]) or Caroline Clarke ([email protected]).

More information about the charity can be found here, and also see the video on YouTube.

Leeds LOC has made a donation towards the clinic set up costs, which has been gratefully received.
