Payment issues associated with PEN Services.

There have recently been significant delays to the payment of Primary Eyecare North (PEC North) invoices for Cataract, MECATS and GRR.

We apologise for the delays and lack of full communication to subcontractors.

PEC North are working with both the Commissioners and Cegedim to sort these issues as soon as possible to enable payments to be made to subcontractors.

Cataract Service.

Payments have not been made from October 17 onwards relating to the cataract service. This has been essentially due to invoicing issues relating to the change in fee structure associated with the removal of mandatory dilation. PEC North are working closely with NECS to resolve the invoice change issues and hope to make payments to subcontractors as soon as possible.

Due to the complexity of the process the expected timescale for payment is likely to be longer than that for either MECATS or GRR.

We will keep you informed of the situation and progress in this matter.

MECATS.

Payments have not been made to subcontractors from October 17 onwards relating to the MECATS service. The delay in payments has been related to the removal of the follow up fee and invoice changes. PEC North are working with NECS to authorise payment for MECATS as soon as possible. Agreement has been reached and expect payment of the invoices soon.

GRR.

PEC North are in contact with NECS to arrange payment for this service as soon as possible.

OHT

Invoices are currently being prepared by Cegedim as we have recently been issued with invoice requirements from the CCGs.

PEC North are working very hard to ensure payments are made to subcontractors as soon as possible, we apologise for the delay.
