Merseyside Optical Seminars
Merseyside Optical Seminars was established in the autumn of 1999, after a meeting with 3 Local Optical Committees recognised the lack of CET events arranged in the area.
Our CET options have been a mixture of full-day multi-topic seminars (our autumn event being focused on Contact Lenses), single-topic short seminars, dinner debates and a peer group review.
As an organisation we aim to cover costs and honoraria but do not make a profit. Any surplus funds are utilised to subsidise Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for local practitioners. However, we do welcome attendance by practitioners from outside the immediate area.
We hope to make our seminars popular and attractive events for optical practitioners.
We are most grateful to our growing list of exhibitors, who help with sponsorship. We are also grateful to the Local Optical Committees for subsidising our events.
